JOURNAL #2 (two of my friends)

I have been in Vancouver for more than one month, and I make some friends in this city. But frankly, I always miss my friends who are in China. Two of them are my best friends, Yang and Yi, who are working in China now. We connect through MSN which is the cheapest way for us to communicate. They usually ask whether I get along well with living in Vancouver or talk about their interesting, boring, or hard work. I told them some current situation, such as, Vancouver is a beautiful city which I like it very much, I moved in a new house from my home stay which was far away from UBC. They sometimes complained that it was difficult for a social freshman to adjust this complex society, and they had to do their best to base themselves in the society. We had graduated from university and had been no longer children or teenagers. Looking back to the past, we recognize each other when we were freshmen at the university and coexist the four-year university's life. We majored in the same subject and the same class, even more we lived in the same dormitory. We went together to classroom and got off classes everyday. After class, we went to the canteen to enjoy our lunches or dinners. In spare time, we went to the city center to go shopping. We were always together. Although I am distant from them, I miss them all the time. Maybe I will go back to China on my vocation, and then I could meet them again. The most importance is that they are my best friends in my life.

Dear Snow,
Maybe you can make more friends in Vancouver. I know you miss your friends very much, communciating with net is really a cheap way to keep in touch with your friends.

Hi Snow - this is a personal and honest piece of writing and I understand how it is when someone feels homesick. I do hope that you are feeling more 'at home' here. Just imagine how good it will be to see your friends again, and think about all the stories you will be able to tell them of your time here!
